I've spent about 120 hours so far playing Tales of Symphonia Chronicles. I haven't spent nearly this much time of a game since early last year and it got me thinking about my favorite video games.
My favorite type of video game is the JRPG. I also like a few other kinds and some of them will also be represented. And I'm sorry in advance for talking about some games that are old and possibly hard to find.

sworn off men for good. Then a few martinis with Carter...no, Connor
Reed and she's gone from first meet to marriage in one night! Megan wants a lawyer. But Connor's shocking bombshell?
While I would love to have a lot to say about everything that I read or watch, sometimes I just don't have enough to do a whole post. It could be because it's a series book, several seasons into a show, it's short, or I just like or dislike it but can't really explain why. For those things, I'm going to do mini reviews.

I got rid of cable at the beginning of 2013 and have since relied on an
over-the-air signal and Hulu and Netflix for all my shows. Still, I probably watch more TV than anything else. For that reason, I couldn't just pick one or even two favorite TV shows. There are so many favorites for different reasons that I just couldn't narrow it down, so I have a few categories.
Initially, I wasn't going to do a "best of" post. I haven't been very active this year and didn't begin including anything other than books until the end of the year. Still, I thought it'd be fun to share the things that I did really like in 2013. Most of it I've never mentioned before.

The normal part of
Lorelei MacAlister’s life didn’t just slip away quietly the day Jared
Kovach came to town. Nope. The normal part of her life shattered. It
exploded. It burst into a gazillion shards of fleeting light.
It went out with a bang.
Goodbye normal.
Hello dark and eerie.
While
her best friend, Brooklyn, is focusing all of her energy on helping
Lorelei hone her abilities, Lorelei is dealing with the reality that
Satan’s second in command has taken up residence inside her body. Oh,
and the fact that she has a crush on the Angel of Death. But what a
beautiful death it is. If those weren’t bad enough, something sinister
has come to town and it wants nothing more than to hear Lorelei’s dying
breath as it strangles it out of her. Thank goodness the gang has a
supernatural champion. But what happens when the only being who can save
them switches sides midstream? How can a group of misfits capture one
of the most powerful beings ever created? And will they find out how to
bring Jared back to them before it’s too late?
